Tidepool is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, founded in 2013, that is dedicated to making diabetes data more accessible, actionable, and meaningful for people with diabetes, their care teams, and researchers. It hosts a suite of software tools for people with diabetes and the clinical teams that serve them. In January 2023, Tidepool Loop, one of the tools from the suite, became the first full interoperable automated insulin dosing app, cleared by the FDA, that originated as a patient-led initiative.
