Ed Martin

Ed Martin is the Director, Technology at CDHI. Ed has implemented several ground-breaking healthcare applications that have won several UC Sautter Innovation Awards. Examples include Careweb Messenger, a clinician collaboration application that facilitates communications around in-patient care; a mobile patient care survey and analytics tool for UCSF Health's Nursing Performance Improvement team; and a Research Participant Management System that facilitates the enrollment of research volunteers for clinical studies campus-wide by allowing people to register online for projects they are interested in.

Prior to UCSF, Ed was founder and VP, Engineering for Loyalty Lab, a marketing solutions startup that was acquired by TIBCO. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of California, Davis and a Master of Science Degree in Healthcare Informatics from Boston University.
